When musical artists create their music videos, it’s normally to show you their interpretation of the lyrics and story of the song. Sometimes, the artists use the music video as an opportunity and vehicle to bring awareness to an important cause. Sisters Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell of the gospel singing duo Mary Mary teamed up with the American Red Cross to deliver a music video that focuses on the recent tornadoes and other natural disasters to hit the US, but with an inspiring message of survival. The video is for their single, “Survive”, off of their latest album, “Something Big.”
It’s a beautiful thing for an artist to take a project in which they would normally be the focus, and use that platform to help others.
Essence Online launched the video earlier today.
